On the 8th of August 2014, KULUNDA-project participants of SP7 and SP10 presented the project at this year`s Field Day at our partner-farm “Partnjor” Koshanov in Poluyamki (Michailovsky Rayon). Over 300 guests from all over Altai Krai and beyond took part in the event. In the morning, representatives from the Krai government and administration gave speeches; this year’s first harvest data were introduced. Agro technical companies were giving information on technique. From our side, preliminary results from the test plots were presented in the field. We also spread our new information brochures on the current state of our scientific results, talked to interested farmers, made new contacts and invited to the next round of the KULUNDA-stakeholder workshop in spring 2015.

On the 13th of August, another highlight was the visit of the Altai Krai Governor, politician Alexander Bogdanovich Karlin. In the town hall of Michailovka he talked about the current situation and economic development of the Altai Krai and answered the questions of the guests.

The owners of the farm “Partnjor” in Poluyamki afterwards invited to an excursion to the fields and machinery; due to rainy weather and muddy tracks the tour had to be abridged. KULUNDA-staff Lars Grunwald introduced the Governor to the project and emphasized the strength and quality of cooperation between the Russian and German partners for the improvement of agricultural perspectives in the region within the KULUNDA-project. Karlin pointed out to have already heard lots of positive about the project. The Governor`s visit was concluded by a TV interview together with Andrej Koshanov, one of the owners of the farm “Partnjor” and a common dinner.
